Arm Covers and Chair Backs

Chair Arm covers or antimacassar /ˌæntɪməˈkæsər/ is a small cloth placed over the backs or arms of chairs. They can also be for the head or cushions of a sofa, to prevent soiling of the permanent fabric underneath. The name also refers to the cloth flap ‘collar’ on a sailor’s shirt or top, used to keep macassar oil off the uniform.

A three piece suite is a considered purchase, we understand how you would want to get the longevity of your suite. By protecting the arms and headrests with our sets you will protect your suite for years to come.

Chair backs and arm caps have two purposes. The main one being they can extend the life of your chair or settee. This is done by protecting the fabric against hair products when leaning against the back or marks on the chair arms by constant touching when getting in or out of your chair. Secondly they look nice as well.

We have confidence in all our products with many of our most popular sets selling for over 20 years.

A second set maybe a good idea so when one is being washed you have a replacement. We have fabrics such as Chenille and tapestry and easy care poly cottons. There is also a crochet lace in white.

All our products are either machine or hand wash. We have some with non slip backings, we have narrow arm caps for cottage type suites, wide arm caps for modern suites.
